We are super excited to be receiving our new shipment of teak roots this week. These beautiful products have been featured on BBC's Saturday Kitchen and are the ultimate sustainable product.
Handcrafted from excavated roots from the teak root trees, these stunning tables are simply stunning additions to any home for indoor or outdoor dining! Available as dining tables, coffee tables and hall console tables they are the perfect eye-catching piece for any home, whether you have one individual piece or a whole set!
The roots used for the products are dug up from land that has been logged many years ago and has been left as unused. By digging out these roots we enable the Indonesian Government to replant and manage new forests of teak for a healthy, hearty new batch of Teak trees to make their way into the world. As these roots wont always be available forever these limited products are not only gorgeous but also a piece of art - we urge people to invest in these beautiful pieces before they are no longer available.
Whilst we as a company are strongly against illegal logging this is still a serious issue and deforestation is still prevalent. By buying your furniture sustainably we are ensuring, on your behalf, that you purchase certificated, government managed timber and that your furniture is crafted by local Indonesian people ensuring that they are paid a fair wage and that their work flow remains steady and constant.
So whether you choose to use your teak root dining table for indoor or outdoor dining don't forget to tell your friends and family its amazing story and the journey its taken to get to your home!
